| It has taken me over 30 years of collecting info, news reports, and photo, but a part of northern BC's history has been uploaded to the internet and now lives at www.trainwreckof78.ca/. I lost my father in this terrific storm which hit the Smithers, Terrace, Kitimat, and Prince Rupert areas where 9 inches of rain fell in 48 hours. Two other Smithers residents lost their lives too.
