In XP I used to run virtual memory on a extra storage drive. This seemed to work well since no programs or OS were using the drive as well. Things ran quick. I tried to do this with Vista but it did not work well and Vista kept going back to it's own settings. I asked some people and they said let Windows do it but, somehow I disagree Any advice on this topic
